Where do we park? Where do I catch the shuttle to the wedding?

Answer

There is parking for the trolley at the following address, which can be found in Google Maps by looking up Port San Luis Lighthouse Trolley: Wild Cherry Canyon San Luis Obispo, CA 93405 After you pass through the town of Avila and go over the bridge, you will be driving along with the ocean on the left and the hills on your right. Look for a road on the right labeled Wild Cherry Canyon, which will be 3.5 miles west of the freeway on Avila Creek Drive. There is a sign advertising lighthouse tours, and there is the parking for the shuttle. Do not drive to Lighthouse road, which is further down Avila Creek Drive, because there is no parking there for the shuttle and your car will not be allowed up this narrow road to the lighthouse.

What time should I arrive at the parking lot to catch the trolley to the ceremony site?

Answer

There are shuttles leaving at 11:55 and 12:30. We want to make sure everyone makes it to the wedding after traveling so far already, since there's limited space on the trolleys and it is a 10 minute trip to the lighthouse! The ceremony itself will begin at 1 O'clock. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled shuttle time.

What shuttle am I on?

Answer

Look under the Shuttles & Parking tab at the top of the webpage. There you will find the shuttle assignments. Shuttles 1 and 2 leave at 11:55, so please arrive at the parking lot no later than 11:45. Shuttles 3 and 4 leave at 12:30, so please arrive no later than 12:20.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

This particular ocean bluff is generally sunny, however in April the weather can be unpredictable. We recommend bringing some form of jacket/shawl in case the day is colder or windier than predicted.

How do I get back to the parking lot?

Answer

The shuttle will be available throughout the day to take guests back to the parking lot if needed.

What time on Sunday will the festivities be finishing up?

Answer

We anticipate wrapping things up around 5:30.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

The food will be vegetarian, but most will contain egg and dairy products. We do plan on having several vegan friendly options as well. If you have a different dietary restriction or allergy, feel free to let Andrew know by emailing him at avassantachart@gmail.com.

Can I bring a date?

We would love to meet your date! :) However, we are trying to keep our wedding small because of the continuing pandemic along with the limited space at our venue, so unfortunately we will need to stick with the original invitation list as much as possible. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We're excited to see all the kiddos! Please note, we are hoping to have as many flower girls as possible, so if that's something your daughter would be excited about, we would love to have her in the wedding! We just ask that she wear a simple white dress of some variety. :)
