Who's Who?

Meet our bridal party!

David Barnett

Best Man

Hello all! My name is David Barnett, Best man and Forever Best friend to the Groom. Alex and I met freshman year of high school and we have taught each other good and bad habits! And I met Emily about a week after they started dating! Fun fact about me, I'm a musician through and through, primarily bass and saxophone, but I dabble in it all. The best advice I can give the new couple is to talk through arguments and never let anyone else enter your 2 handed circle. It's you two versus the world! Congrats to the New Couple ❤️

Gabrielle Dixon

Maid of Honor

"I met Alex and Emily when I first moved to OH a few years ago. They are some of the most fun and loving people that I have the pleasure of knowing. A fun fact about me, I love baking! A piece of advice for the Future Mr & Mrs, never forget that you are each other’s best friend and that you’re on the same team."

Brandon Mistry

Groomsman

"Alex is my first cousin on our mom's side, but I would say I would consider him more like a brother. Over the years, we have had such amazing adventures together: from exploring our family's island as children to taking trips to Cedar Point as adults. My only advice for Emily and Alex is to continue to have adventures together—do things that make you both happy. I have found in my 10-year relationship that having meaningful experiences with each other is one of the better ways to continue to build on your relationship."

Shelby Mistry

Bridesmaid

"Hi, my name is Shelby and I am friend of the bride, cousin-in-law to the groom. I love to go on hikes, watch reality TV, and I love all things food: eating it, making it, and finding it outside in the form of edible plants. My advice to the bride and groom is to remember to keep the friendship alive, because you were friends before you were spouses. Spend time together, have fun, laugh, and be kind."

Shawn Barbee

Groomsman

"I'm Shawn, Alex's only blood brother. I'm good at working with computers and I enjoy working with cars. My advice for the couple would be to always compromise on things and never go to sleep angry with each other."

Hannah Woods

Bridesmaid

"Hello! My name is Hannah and Emily and I are cousins! We were best buddies at the family reunions we attended as little girls and our friendship has only grown since ❤️ I’m a waitress at a Mexican restaurant and I really enjoy it. My husband and I love to take walks, play boards games and I enjoy reading, writing, and being outside in my pass time. My wish for Emily and Alex is that on all things they come back together at the end of the day, no matter how rough, and know that with God at the center the can do all things. Always kiss and make up ❤️"

Oreo

Ring Pupper

Oreo is a member of the Barbee family. She met Emily when Alex began dating her and loves Emily because she always pets and plays with her. Oreo loves to go on long walks, pose for the paparazzi, play "Doggie in the Middle", and go swimming, especially if there's a dock to jump off. Her most common pastime in the evening is sitting squarely in front of her Daddy, staring at him unwaveringly for as long as it takes to remind him that it's time for her treats Fun Fact - Whenever Oreo is out in public, whether travelling or around town, she always attracts admirers (as do all celebrities), sometimes making a "quick trip" to the store last twice as long as it should. Advice for the new couple - Hold in your heart those things about the other person that you love and admire, so that you will remember them during the difficult times when your relationship needs healing. .

Doris Riddle

Flower Grammy

I'm Alex's Grammy Riddle - a Strong Riddle who was born 84 years ago with 2 badly clubbed feet which were corrected by surgeries when I was a baby and then a preschooler. I've lived many years in Michigan, and now many years in Ohio. I've had many different jobs, but now my "leave home" activity is volunteering at One of a Kind Pet Rescue in Akron, working with the cats. My advice to the New Couple - Remember who put you here on Earth:   1. Go to church regularly 2. Read the Bible daily 3. Pray about everything all the time 4. Tithe!!! God answers prayer, and honors the tither - you can't outgive God!
