Cortijo Party

This event is casual - it will likely be cool so dress with warm layers and comfy shoes!

Traditionally, this is a bring-your-own drinks type of event. You're welcome to bring whatever you like, but drinks will be provided. There will not be a bar or bartender - just some coolers and some music! There will be light snacks but plan to eat beforehand!

Ceremony & Reception

1:00 pm - 11:00 pm

This event is semi-formal. It is a steep walk to the top of the hill, so prepare your shoes accordingly. Check the weather ahead of time - it may be chilly, so dress accordingly. This is an outdoor event with no overhead coverage.

For those with mobility concerns, you can be dropped off at the top of the hill. There is limited parking, so plan to park on the street at the bottom so you can be shuttled to the top. You can also be shuttled to the venue following the ceremony. The ceremony will go from 1:00pm-1:30pm; we will then walk to the venue through town and have some snacks and drinks while Emily & Alex get some pictures taken; there will be a sit down lunch following the reception at 3pm and a casual barbecue dinner at 8pm. We will provide late night snacks as the evening goes on. Bands will play at 5pm and 10pm followed by a DJ at midnight. There is no designated end time - Spaniards party all night long - you are welcome to leave whenever you want (or take a rest and come back)!

Seaside Dinner & Exploring

4:00 pm - 10:00 pm

This event is casual, dress up or down, however you're feeling! Wear shoes that you can do some walking in -- there are beautiful rocks and hillsides that overlook the sea.

**Updated Info: we will leave for Isleta around 4pm and spend the early evening seeing the scenery and walking around town. We have dinner reservations for 9pm. **This is an optional dinner to gather with Emily, Alex and other friends and family who have travelled from near and far! This is a gorgeous little town on the Mediterranean sea, located an hour or so away from Sierro. We will eat at the restaurant (seafood, salads, paella, bread, wine, beer ) at 9pm but feel free to arrive earlier to explore the town and climb up the surrounding hillside for an epic, panoramic view of the town and the sea.

Explore Granada

10:00 am - 10:00 pm

Wear whatever your heart desires. Check weather for temps and wear shoes that are comfortable to walk in.

Emily and Alex will be hanging out in Granada for the day (1.5 hrs from Sierro). We will be heading to La Alhambra on Monday at 12pm (tickets have been purchased ). This is a timed ticket, so you have to show up at the scheduled time - please bring your passport to verify your ticket upon entry. We have dinner reservations for the entire group at 5:30pm (a bit early to ensure we make it to the flamenco dance show at 9pm) The Flamenco cave dancing outing begins at 9pm - this is a very old Spanish tradition and cultural experience. We will go as a group (and have purchased all the tickets ahead of time) - one drink is included in the ticket, additional drinks can be purchased individually.
