We are moving forward and fully anticipate to have our wedding while following all guidelines to ensure your safety. So please move forward with booking travel & other accommodations. At the end of February, Gov. Cuomo released guidelines allowing weddings with up to 150 Guests in New York starting in March. While some things are different than what you'd typically expect at a wedding (ex. wearing masks & distanced dance floors), we feel confident that restrictions will continue to be lifted and we will be able to have a wonderful (and safe) night with everyone. We believe that by September things will be even better as restrictions continue to be lifted. However, we will communicate personally and ASAP if we need to downsize or cancel the wedding.
CDC and NYS guidelines are continuing to be updated, but rest assured that we will be following all guidelines and expect our guests to do the same. We will update and communicate what is required as we get closer to the date. Please anticipate bringing proof of vaccine if you are vaccinated and showing a negative COVID-19 test within New York regulations if you are medically (or age) unable to be vaccinated. The best way to ensure everyone's safety at our wedding is through vaccination. Therefore we are requesting all guests who are eligible for vaccination to be vaccinated. At this time, the US and Canada seem to be moving at a rate consistent with meeting this target to have all adults vaccinated. If you choose not to be vaccinated, we request that you please celebrate our marriage from afar.
There is no uber/lyft presence in Ellicottville, so we highly recommend getting a rental car if you are flying into Buffalo. We have arranged a shuttle for after the reception to make a loop from the venue to the local hotels and downtown Ellicottville. The shuttle will keep running late enough to take everyone from downtown to their hotel at the end of the night when bars close. Cars can be left at the venue overnight until 10am the next day, so we recommend carpooling to the venue, taking our transportation home, and the next morning having a carpool of drivers to pick up the vehicles! Please feel free to reach out and we can help put you in touch with others staying at the same hotel.
The official wedding activities start in the afternoon on Sunday, September 5th. However, because of flight schedules we are hearing that many people are arriving on Saturday. There are no actual plans as of right now (and if bars are open for gathering), but we are planning to have drinks Saturday night in downtown Ellicottville and would love to see you there!
Nope! Stay wherever you'd like! The blocks just available as an option help you get a discounted rate.
Probably! We're working on adding more to the website. Keep checking back, or contact us to ask questions!
Short answer: yes To protect those who are medically unable to be vaccinated, or are too young to be vaccinated, we are requiring everyone eligible for vaccination to be. It is your right to choose not to be vaccinated, but in that case we request you celebrate our marriage from afar. The venue will be checking for your proof of vaccination in accordance with state laws.
