Question
Are kids welcome?
Answer
We love your children, however, all of our wedding events are adults only. If you're planning on bringing your kids to the resort for the weekend, please ensure you have childcare during the wedding activities so you can be fully present! Basin Harbor has a network of vetted babysitters. Rates start at $25/hour for babysitting. Inquire when booking, and the resort will send you an intake form.

Does the resort have babysitters?
Answer
Yes! The resort has a list of trained babysitters, and will happily work with you to coordinate childcare as needed for our wedding weekend. Please reach out to the concierge at concierge@basinharbor.com for more information and to book.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony will start at 5pm. Please plan to arrive around 4:45pm to get seated.

How do I get to the resort from the train station or airport?
Answer
You will be able to get an Uber / Lyft or taxi TO the resort from the train station or airport, however, Uber and Lyft are unreliable and shouldn't be used for your return trip. Basin Harbor offers a shuttle service for up to 5 guests at a time. The airport shuttle is $125 one way, and the train shuttle is $45 one way (this can be split between guests). If driving, there is free parking on property.

Will there be shuttles if we aren't staying on property?
Answer
Yes. We will have a shuttle available to transport folks to the resort for the ceremony. Please meet the shuttle at the Doubletree by Hilton South Burlington (our second room block hotel). More information will be provided as we get closer.

Are there AirBnb's available?
Answer
Yes! There are plenty of Airbnb's available in the Vergennes / Middlebury / Charlotte area. Please note that Middlebury College graduation is the same weekend as our wedding, so if you're planning to book your own lodging, we recommend booking ASAP, as options may be limited.

What amenities does the resort provide?

Great question! Breakfast is included for everyone in your room rate. The resort also offers the following complimentary amenities: - fully equipped fitness center + wellness studio - heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tubs - lake access with waterfront + beach area (including a lake diving board + water trampoline) - poolside + beach lounge chairs - fresh pool + beach towels daily - scenic hiking + biking trails - use of canoes, kayaks, pedalboats, kids boats and stand-up paddleboards - tennis courts - soccer field -basketball court - pickleball courts - high-spped wifi - on-site self-parking - bell staff services The resort also has a golf course. Please check the Basin Harbor website for information on greens fees and tee times.

What does formal attire mean? Do I need to wear a tux?
Answer
Formal attire falls between cocktail attire and black tie. We suggest tea-length or floor length dresses or pantsuits for women, and dark blue or black suits with ties for men. Tuxedos are NOT required, though you are welcome to wear one if you'd like.
