How we met

3-20-2020

Emily and Sierra met online through that fiery infamous app everybody knows right before the pandemic hit and the entire world shut down. Emily was working at Monocacy Brewing Company and Sierra was working for Genesis Treatment Services. It just so happened that their schedules lined up pretty well, and after a few snapchats, texts and facetimes they finally decided to meet at Sierra's house. Emily arrived with a cooler bag full of beer and Sierra had her favorite bottle of wine to open. When they met it was love at first sight. They both felt an overwhelming sense of peace wash over them and knew that they didn't want to spend another second apart. They talked for hours until Emily finally had to head back home. As soon as Emily left, Sierra called one of her friends and said "I just met the girl that I am going to marry". As they were getting to know each other they found they had many interests in common. Whether it was walking through Baker Park on a rainy day, or getting caught fishing without a license they always had a great time together. And though it was difficult to see each other during the Panini they found many ways to get creative. Three years later and they still feel the same way they did on that first day! They are so excited to share this special day with you.

Proposal #1

August 6th, 2021

On August 4th Sierra and Emily got a Newfoundland Poodle puppy that they named Bear. They ended up taking him with them on the fishing trip they had planned to Bear Cottage in St. Mary's City, Maryland. On August 6th Emily was sleeping in while Sierra was already out at the dock fishing at 6am. She thought "Why don't I have our new little furry friend help me propose?" So she attached the ring to a carabeaner and then put it on Bears collar. Emily took bear out to the dock and asked Sierra to take a look at his collar because she thought it was to loose. She found the ring and instantly said yes. Best fishing trip we have ever been on.

Proposal #2

October 11th, 2021

On October 11th, 2021 even though Emily had already proposed, Sierra had already planned a surprise proposal for Emily. She called the Ravens Stadium months in advance and asked for their help. They left in the afternoon and headed towards Baltimore City to tailgate before the game. The ring was burning a hole in Sierra's pocket the entire time. At the tailgate they were able to meet up with Sierra's Dad (Joel), Brother (Nick) as well as a few of her highschool friends. Although her Dad and Brother already knew about the proposal Sierra was so excited that she kept secretly telling all of her friends about her plans. Once the game was about to start Sierra and Emily headed into the stadium. As they approached the metal detectors Sierra had to very quietly mention to security about the ring so that they wouldn't dumb her bag and ruin her plans. Once inside they raced up to their seats because they plan was supposed to go down at the ten minute mark in the first quarter. And sure enough, ten minutes in two stadium employees walked to our seats and asked for Emily. When she answered they told her that she had been picked at random to win a free swag box. As Emily grabbed the box Sierra swiftly asked her seat neighbor to film and got down on one knee. As Emily opened the box the words "Will You Marry Me?" were written inside along with lots of free goodies. Emily quickly turned in shock towards Sierra and said Yes! It was the best Ravens game they've ever been to.
