Matron of Honor
Lindsey is one of my only friends that met and knew Glen before we started dating. She'll be the first to tell you how I used to *frequently* turn to her and say, "oh, he's pretty cute!" when he would walk by. She was also the first person I told after he asked me out on our first date and who I called immediately following it!! It's safe to say that aside from Glen, Linds is my person and best friend and I couldn't begin to imagine where I would be in life without her. She has been an advocate of my relationship with Glen since day one and is my go to person for all of life's questions and curveballs. I hit the jackpot with this girl and I am eternally grateful for her patience and love towards me. We can't wait to keep making memories with her and her husband, Peter!
Best Man and Glen's Brother
My younger, but bigger, brother. Neal got the blonde hair and blue eyes, but who are we kidding - I'm the better looking one and we all know it. Neal is the groomsman of mine that everyone wants to be around most and all prefer to hang out with, especially over me. I secretly love it as an older brother should. Witty in his own way, he'll make you fall on the ground laughing by bashing a fellow groomsman. Oh, and he is always right and don't try to tell him otherwise. There is no one else I rather have by my side on the day I marry my best friend.
Maid of Honor
Jillian and I met when she joined Ballet Theatre of Maryland in 2014 and in a short amount of time our relationship blossomed into more than just coworkers. Jill is the most selfless person I know and I'm lucky to call her my closest and most trusted friend. Among many other things, she is always quick to lend a shoulder to cry on or to crack a bad joke just to make me laugh and man, do we laugh a lot together! Jill is the most trustworthy human being you will ever meet and I don't really know how I got so lucky to have her as one of my very best friends, but I will never question it! Glen and I know that she will forever be a part of our lives and we are so thankful that she will be a part of our special day!
Best Man
Where do I start...James is my confidante, "personal assistant" and best friend (as all my groomsman are). The person I go to for weekly check-ins, life advice and to bounce idiotic purchases off of. My concert partner and fantasy baseball rival. I am lucky to be confused as brothers with him as that is a huge compliment for myself, but not so much for James. James is always a call away (a lawyer in San Francisco) from giving me the advantages and disadvantages to all of my "big boy" decisions and we all need that in our lives. He is the person that knows all of my secrets while also supporting every dream and desire I have ever had, even if they aren't fathomable. James is a best friend and by no means do I deserve him, but you'll never hear me complain that I do.
Bridesmaid
I have known Hayley for 13+ years!!! We grew up dancing together in Virginia and our paths crossed again when she auditioned for BTM in the winter of 2015. I was in need of a roommate for the following season and she reluctantly agreed! Through the people we know and experiences we've shared, we have such interconnected lives. She is a sweet, creative, and selfless soul and I am so lucky to have her in my life. She makes Glen laugh the most out of anyone we know and we are so thankful for her friendship!
Groomsman
Sheesh. Trever is the toughest baby I know. He will CRUSH your self-esteem with a joke one second, but come back and break you heart with a compliment shortly after (many haven't experienced the latter but I have and it's a treat). He is the friend that I make laugh most and he does the same for me. Our faces usually hurt an hour after being together. I consider myself damn lucky to have found Trever at Pusser's (a local restaurant in Annapolis where Trever eventually fired me from) in 2010 and he fell right into my posse like a glove. I am also extremely lucky that Trever welcomed me into his friend group where I have found a whole new side of myself through those new friends as well. This is a man who will always be at my side no matter the circumstance and that is priceless.
Bridesmaid
Caroline is one of my younger cousins, but I consider her more of a sister. From summer vacations spent wearing matching bathing suits with identical boardwalk henna tattoos, to self choreographed Brittney Spears music videos created in our Pop Pop's office, we were practically twins!! We are lucky to have not only grown up so closely, but to have remained close as adults. I am so grateful to have been granted my "La" -the sister I never had and while we live on opposite sides of the country I know we will continue to make memories to be cherished for the rest of our lives!
Groomsman
A "man's man" Tim would take a bullet for me and I'm not sure why. We met in high school and didn't have much in common, but we stuck like glue. Growing up in the same neighborhood, Tim would come over often and would help my family with chores or things around the house. Often I'd catch him upstairs chatting with my parents for fifteen minutes before he'd ever came downstairs to hop on FIFA with me. He will never turn down a drink, but also can't stop talking so if you're caught in an endless conversation with him just walk away, he's drunk. He would be my first phone call if Ever needed in an emergency (other than family) because he'd be there in minutes and I don't want to know how I just know he'd be there.
Bridesmaid
Kristen (or KP as I call her) and I like to say that I forced our friendship and well, I definitely did. Kristen is my quietest friend and after we met, I instantly knew I wanted to get closer to her! One day, I told her that I would pick her up to go shopping and against all of her instincts (she could tell I was really loud and crazy) she agreed. We became fast friends with a relationship that I cherish deeply and count as a blessing often!
Groomsman and Emily's Brother
Kevin is a few years younger than me but is smarter than I'll ever be and I use that to my advantage. He is Emily's only sibling. I have known Kevin for a few years now but have learned to trust and respect his opinion more than most of my lifelong friends. He fits right into my life style whether it is going to football games together or just going out and drinking, Kevin is going to be a fantastic addition to my already perfect family.
Bridesmaid and Glen's sister
I met Kelsey in 2012 while we both worked at Brio, before I even met Glen!! Yes, that's right, I have known (and loved) Kels longer than her brother! Kelsey is the eldest of the Carey kids and it's obvious why she is so respected by them. She is the smartest, funniest, and most caring sister-in-law that I could ever wish for and although I already consider her my sis, I can't wait for it to be official!
Groomsman
Not sure I'll have enough characters for Mike but I'll try. To begin, Michael married my older sister, Kelsey, in 2018 but we started our friendship many years before that. I look at my sister as a second mother figure who only deserves the best and for a man to find her and be perfect for her is..perfect. I am blessed to have Michael as my older brother. He is known to sit quietly in his corner until you get a couple drinks in him and at that point he's typically the life of the party. Consistently make the entire room laugh and smile and everyone is counting on him to do so. In a nut shell, those attending this wonderful wedding day are excited to see so many friends and family, but Michael tops that list for most of them and rightfully so. I myself am thrilled to see him, as usual.
Bridesmaid and Glen's sister
Grace is Glen's youngest sibling and the first member of his family (besides Kelsey) that I had the pleasure of meeting! On our second date, 48 hours after our first, Grace was at the same restaurant as us and Glen introduced me to her. I was so nervous to meet a member of his family so soon, but I will never forget how sweet she was and how inviting she made me feel. I am so excited to finally have a little sister and am so happy it's Grace!
Officiant and Groomsman
Anthony is not only mine and Emily's favorite friend but our favorite person. When we began to discuss who we wanted to marry us, I had known (at least in my head) that Anthony would be perfect. I threw the idea out to Emily and she immediately agreed. When you introduce your significant other to your friends it can be scary, but I couldn't wait to have Emily meet Anthony because I knew they would click, and they totally did. Anthony never lets anyone think or talk negatively and he truly wishes and wants the best for us. We love the memories that we have already made with him and his beautiful wife, Bridgette and we can’t wait to make more!
