Question

What will the ceremony look like?

Answer

In our typical adventure fashion, we are choosing an intimate elopement at the top of the mountain to have a special moment between the 2 of us. While you may not be part of the ceremony, we look forward to your greeting off the chairlift as newlyweds and the reception to follow!

Question

What time should I arrive for the reception?

Answer

As noted, we will have a private ceremony but welcome our attendees to greet us at the base of the chairlift around 5:15 PM and move directly into cocktail hour a short walk away. For both those staying in the Solitude Village and those parking at the Village, signs will direct you to the Last Chance Lodge venue and meeting point.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We're looking forward to seeing you at our wedding! While we'd love to include everyone, we kindly ask that only those named on the invitations attend as we would like to keep this a small, intimate event.

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Lucky you, no need to decide on dinner! A buffet style dinner with a variety of options will be provided. Late night snacks will also be provided during the After Party at The Thirsty Squirrel. For meals outside of the event - Solitude Village offers 3 restaurants, a convenience store, and the ability to make your own meals in any of the rented condos.

Question

Can you drink in Utah?

Answer

YES! While Utah does have some interesting laws surrounding alcohol, you can definitely partake in alcoholic beverages. Be warned, a 'restaurant' will require you to order food with drinks while a 'bar' allows drinks only with the option of food. There is a state owned liquour store on Solitude grounds, as well as a Apres bar. And of course, our reception will have an open bar.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are very sorry, but we are keeping our special day as an adult-only occasion with the exception of our immediate family. We hope you can enjoy a parent's night out.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation to and from Solitude will not be provided, therefore we recommend Uber/LYFT or a rental car. Once onsite, the reception and lodging is located in close proximity and has no need for transporation on the day. We will have multiple vehicles traveling up to Solitude mid-day on Friday, August 16th. If your flight aligns with that timeframe, feel free to reach out about coordinating a ride.

Question

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

YES! Solitude offers ample parking and is even known for parking lot tailgates ;)

Question

Is there lodging at Solitude Mountain Resort?

Answer

YES! Check out the lodging tab for more information. Our guests recieve a 20% discount on a variety of lodging options, with a 2 night minimum. For those only staying 1 night, you can book directly through Solitude logding (2nd link) instead of the discount option (1st link).

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While there is not a dress code, we are looking forward to celebrating with you in style. No jeans or green, please! Keep in mind the location is in the moutains at 8,000+ feet, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for strong sun & cold nights.

Question

Will there be other events over the weekend?

Answer

For those in town for the weekend, we plan on a small get together on Friday at the Parent's of the Bride's rented townhouse. More details to come!

For all the days along the way
