Yes, but they are few and far between and they're not extremely reliable. There are a few cab companies on-island (most operate vans so can fit quite a few people!) but we'd recommend booking those in advance, when able. On-island cab companies include: Stagecoach Taxi (508) 627-4566 Lighthouse Taxi (508) 627-2386 *Remember: there will be transportation provided to and from the wedding on Saturday! But may be good to start thinking about how you'll get around the island for the rest of the weekend.
Ideally not -- the last ferry leaves Martha's Vineyard to the mainland at approximately 9:30pm which would mean you'd have to leave the party at 9:00pm; wouldn't give you much time to dance! But understand that housing on the island is slim pickings so do what you gotta do!
Do it up -- Tuxedos & formal dresses. Here's a full guide: https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-black-tie Remember that you'll be walking in the grass -- so avoid the stilettos -- and to bring a layer in case it's on the chillier side!

Kids are welcome at anything that doesn't require paying for an extra seat :) Welcome at: Thursday's Welcome Party (8:00-12:00am) Friday's Beach Day Saturday's Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour (3:30-5:45pm) Sunday's Brunch Don't bring 'em to: Thursday's Rehearsal Dinner (5:30-8:00pm) Saturday's Wedding Reception (5:45-11:30pm) If you're looking for a sitter, there are plenty available via Care.com and an island service we've had recommended to us -- MV Kid Sitters.
Mid-September is a tricky time weather wise -- it may be 75 or it may be 60; so be prepared with layers at all times! It is never truly hot on the Vineyard so I wouldn't optimize for that. Beach day will be super casual -- we'll be bringing a smattering of umbrellas and games (think: spikeball, cornhole), and will be providing some snacks and booze. Bring anything else you'll need -- towels, beach chairs (often AirBnBs will provide), etc. Recommendation for what to wear would be bathing suit, shorts & a sweater -- or anything in that realm! Something you can swim and move in but if a gust hits you, won't be miserable.
We will be providing vans that will pick you up and drop you off. In advance of the wedding weekend, we're giving the cab company the addresses that you'll be staying at and who with (hence that ask in the RSVP) and they will mix and match people who are close by. In the days leading up to the wedding, you'll get an email with a specific time that the van will be at your house/hotel to grab you; so make sure to have your whole crew ready and check your inbox! At the end of the night, there will be a line of vans to take you home starting at 9:45pm for the early birds. If you have an urgent need to leave any earlier, there will be a coordinator onsite who can call one. Note: If you would still like to drive to the wedding, there will be parking available at the venue.
Brunch = breakfast sammies, burritos & beverages. Super low key. Important note: The Gruppo home will not have parking available. You will have to park at the top of the road and someone will shuttle you the 2 minutes back and forth.
