Flight
Both Pisa and Florence airports are great options for flying in from the UK. Pisa International Airport is slightly further from the venue and the nearby town of Monteriggioni, but offers a wider range of flight times and airline options. Florence Airport is closer to the venue, making for a shorter drive after arrival.
Rental Car
We recommend hiring a car, as the drive from both Pisa and Florence airports to the venue area is around an hour. Having a car will also make it much easier for picking up food, exploring Tuscany, or getting around outside of the wedding plans.
Travel Note
Guests usually choose to stay either in Monteriggioni or nearby Siena. Monteriggioni is the closest option, a beautiful medieval town set within historic castle walls, with restaurants, bars, and small shops all within walking distance. As this is such a small town, accommodation gets booked up fairly quickly, especially as July is peak wedding season. There are some options for places to stay in Monteriggioni below. Siena is slightly further away but offers a wider range of accommodation options, including more hotels and Airbnbs. There is also plenty to explore, including shopping, and its famous piazza, where you can enjoy food and drinks while taking in the atmosphere.
Hotel
Hotel Monteriggioni is located in the nearest local town, Monteriggioni, a beautiful medieval village set within historic castle walls. Within the castle, there are restaurants, bars, and small shops, all conveniently within walking distance.
Hotel
Camere Dentro Il Castello is also located within the castle walls of Monteriggioni and is another great option for accommodation during the wedding celebrations.
