Bridesmaid
Abby is Kevin's oldest daughter and my first bonus daughter! While she may be incredibly shy, but if you manage to catch it, she has a smile that radiates and a laugh that invites you to join along. She is a blessing to have as an oldest daughter as she is always willing to lend a hand with her siblings without complaint. I often times feel guilt listening to my other step-parent friends, as I have definitely stepped into the life of an amazing young woman with a good head on her shoulders. Abby has made it incredibly easy to step in and take on the role of parent to a preteen, and for that I am truly blessed beyond belief. I could not be more honored to be gaining her as a daughter and to have her stand by my side as I marry her father.
Bridesmaid
Hayden is Kevin's younger daughter and my second bonus daughter! Hayden is the life of the party and one of the easiest individuals to get along with. She loves to laugh and can be heard doing so all throughout our house at any time of day. The first day after moving in together I was incredibly nervous. I was stepping into a parenting role during an age that is often difficult for most children and I was terrified of messing up. All of that instantly faded away though at bedtime. Once ready for bed Hayden came and found me in the house, wrapped her arms around me in the biggest hug, and wished me a good night. I melted right there on the spot, and once I was able to collect myself I knew I was going to be alright moving forward. I wish every stepparent was as lucky as I am.
Groomsman
We couldn't imagine getting married without this little prince being by our sides! We found out we were expecting the same day I found out I was accepted into nursing school (it was quite an exciting day!). Luckily the school was amazing and pushed my start date until after my delivery date. Then on February 29, 2020 after 20 weeks of planning for a beautiful baby girl, we were surprised and blessed with a chunky baby boy instead! Now that little nugget will be helping to celebrate the marriage of his mom and dad!
