Midtown is our Saturday breakfast routine. Emiko gets the Seasonal Veggie Hash every time and is still not tired of it. They also have a season meat hash on their specials, and their biscuits and gravy are the best in town, with Hank's Creekside coming in as a close second.
When we lived at the A St house, we would walk here at least once a month. If I start craving sushi, this is the first place I think of. We also tend to run into people we know whenever we eat there.
Emiko has been eating here since High School. They recognize us when we come in, and know to ask which of the 2 things orders she wants that morning. They have the best California Benedict and banana pancakes in town.
Howarth park and Spring Lake are right around the corner from Rod and Patti's house. It a beautiful walk if you are looking to get some fresh air and time in nature. There is a steady paved path through most of the park with smaller dirt trials leading into the trees. There is also a park with play structures and actives, and picnic tables for nice place to have lunch.
Most of the hotels we listed are located in Railroad Square. Its a great place to walk explore if you have some tome to spare. Aroma Roasters is one of our favorite coffee shops, Goblin Bro's is a great locally owned game store that's worth a peak, and the antique store will keep you occupied for houses. There also plenty of restaurants, not one of the bad, and an amazing artisan ice cream shop.
Located in Railroad Square, walking distends from some of the hotels listed.
