We met online during COVID. We won't say this made it easy at the beginning, but it certainly made it interesting. A global pandemic saw our relationship start off with online dates, phone calls and playing video games late into the night. We found our start to be long distance and isolated - a set of conditions that wouldn't stop us.

We decided to do something mostly outdoors for our first in person date. We started by meeting halfway between us in Mount Airy Maryland. After lunch, we decided it would be a good idea to take a hike (bold, we know). After a quick tumble down a muddy trail, Daniel's excellent sense of direction inadvertently led us confidently through multiple thorn bushes and brush. While we did make it safely off the trail, this very memorable first date makes us wonder how we got this far!

Four years, three months and twenty-six days later it was about time to make things official. Returning to our roots, we visited the same park from our first date (despite the exact location somehow alluding us) with our closest friends to pop the question. Four years is a long time to grow together, and we're certain that there will be many more to come.
