Sometimes love finds you when you least expect it. Chris and Emmy met through a mutual friend during what seemed like an ordinary dinner out. But something about that night felt different. After dinner, Emmy quietly told her friend that she thought Chris was cute — and lit up when she found out he was single. Later that evening, with a little spark of courage (and maybe a touch of nerves), Emmy turned to Chris and said, “I know this sounds cheesy, but I think you're really handsome.” Chris smiled and replied, “Who, me? I think you're beautiful.” They exchanged numbers — and from that moment on, everything changed. A week of conversations led to their first date: an unforgettable night at Fratelli’s, a cozy Italian restaurant tucked inside the Encore Casino in Boston. Over wine, great food, and hours of conversation, something undeniable began to unfold. After dinner, they wandered through the casino — not for the games, but for the company, laughter, and people-watching. From that night forward, neither of them looked back. Even though Chris’s job had him traveling during the week, They still spent every weekend together, for the first eight months of their relationship. It wasn’t long before they realized they wanted more time together, and Chris began searching for a job that would allow them to truly build a life side by side. Since then, they’ve built a love full of laughter, travel, building memories and deep understanding. Then, on a beautiful day three years later — while on a special trip with Emmy’s parents — Chris got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever at The Cloister in Sea Island, Georgia on May 30, 2024. Now here we are, ready to begin this next chapter — and so excited to celebrate with all of you, the people who’ve meant the most to us along the way.
