Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes, kids are invited to both the American ceremony and the Nigerian ceremony.

Question

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Answer

Yes, it is #ForBetterAndForBirch. Make sure to tag all your pictures so we can all relive the night together years from now.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We kindly ask that if your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Where is the wedding registry?

Answer

The wedding registry is located on the wedding website under the tab, "registry." It can also be found here www.zola.com/registry/emediongandcorey. We are registered with Zola and Amazon.

Question

What is the dress code for the Nigerian Wedding Ceremony?

Answer

Traditional Nigerian Attire including traditional lace and ankara styles. American semi-formal attire is also welcomed.

Question

I am interested in wearing traditional Nigerian attire to the wedding, but do not know where to start. What do I do?

Answer

Contact Uyai Luxe for all fabric, style, and tailor inquires. Uyai Luxe will be able to provide you with countless fabrics choices, a seamstress/tailors near you, and direct you to the reigning styles of the season. IG: Uyailuxe_fabrics Etsy: UyaiLuxeFabrica Contact Number: 754.777.0440

Question

What is the dress code for the American Ceremony?

Answer

Semi-Formal/Garden Attire Wear. Note this event will be outside, so elegant sundresses, floral prints, or cocktail dresses for the ladies. As for the men, nice button downs and/or suit jackets are optional. In all, we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose. And of course, traditional Nigerian attire is welcomed.

Question

Are there really two weddings?

Answer

Yes! Blending of cultures is a beautiful thing. Corey Allan Birch is an Orlando native and Emediong Udoudo Umoh is Nigerian-American. Because of this, both cultures will be embraced with two celebrations — an intimate morning American wedding and an evening Nigerian ceremony. There will be two RSVPs for each celebration. Please be sure to return both by October 23.

Question

What should I expect at a Nigerian Wedding Ceremony?

Answer

In Nigeria, a wedding is much more than the celebration of joining the lives of two people into one. It is when two entire families join together as one and a Nigerian wedding is an all-out affair that is full of bright colors, toe-tapping music, spraying of money, and ancient traditions.
