Corey and Emy's love journey began at the University of Central Florida, back in 2013. The place to be was in the Multicultural Student Center, MSC for short. Corey and Emy had crossed paths before, but had not interacted much with each other. But on this day, without thinking Emy shared her thoughts to her friend Terrance Smith, "Ooo he is so cute! My goodness." Little did she know, Terrance Smith would go and share her remarks with said Corey. Once Corey heard the comments, he devised a plan to strategically comment on Emy's very last instagram post. He left his number and a presumptuous message, "text me." Corey was feeling confident and had no doubt he would get a response in no time. When she saw the text she was giddy, but did not want to seem too eager. True to her 19 year-old self she decided to sit on the text until morning and instead screenshot the post and send it to her girlfriends Diara and Aden. The next morning she knew she waited long enough. She sent a simple text, "Good Morning Mr. Birch." From that day, not a day has passed where they have not shared a morning text with each other. And the rest is history. They went on dates, became "official" October 9th, and had an annoyingly extended cupcake phase. They graduated from the University of Central Florida and pursued their passions in their careers. They have traveled together, gone on adventures, had squabbles, went skating, danced, laughed, cried, and laughed some more. But most importantly they have been able to grow individually and as a couple in their relationship with Christ as their Lord and their Savior. And through the soon to be 6 years of their love journey they know, without a shadow of a doubt, that without HIM none of it would have been possible.
