This is one of our favorite moderately challenging hiking trails, it has spectacular views of Golden and its foothills, and interesting rock formations. It is 4 miles long with 928 ft of elevation gain. This hike offers stunning views, for not much work! It is about 3 miles long with 521 feet of elevation gain, and generally considered an easy route. Located in Windy Saddle Open Space Park, this hike offers panoramic views over the city of Denver and the surrounding hills and valleys, before taking the trail to Lookout Mountain, which is also marks the location of Buffalo Bill's Grave. If you've never been to Red Rocks it's an iconic must-see! It is just a 13-min car ride from Golden. Go for an early morning workout on the stairs, or hike around the amphitheatre, there are tons of pretty trails.
