Captain Sundae

Captain Sundae is a great stop for some ice cream! The signature Sundae, the Tommy Turtle, made national news in 2004 when it was served on NBC's Today show and to President George W. Bush during his visit to Holland. While you are at Captain Sundae, you could also play a round of mini golf next door at Pirates Landing Mini Golf!

Holland State Park is known for its beautiful sandy beaches. It is also the home of the iconic "Big Red" lighthouse! We think you would really enjoy relaxing on the beach or taking a swim here!

Window on the Waterfront is a 30 acre park along the south edge of the Macatawa Marsh. Park amenities include gorgeous walking and biking paths, viewing decks, boardwalks, and an athletic field.

Centennial Park

This beautiful park has brick pathways, flowerbeds, a gazebo, and a traditional Dutch fountain and a fish pond. It is a beautiful place to have a picnic or take a walk! In addition, check out the Wizard of Oz statues across the street!

Tunnel Park

This park, located right on Lake Michigan, is a great place for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. There is a unique tunnel through a dune, a large playground, sand volleyball courts, and more!

Mt. Pisgah - Historic Ottawa Beach

Mt. Pisgah consists of a dune climb and boardwalk. With its apex 157 feet above Lake Michigan, the boardwalk culminates with breathtaking views of Lake Macatawa, marinas, Lake Michigan and Big Red lighthouse. Mount Pisgah can be accessed off Ottawa Beach Road near Third Avenue in Park Township.

Kollen Park and Heinz Waterfront Walkway

This fun recreational park features a boat launch, boardwalk, playground, and picnic shelter. See the Queretaro fountain (given to Holland from the city of Queretaro, Mexico) and a statue given by the people of Drenthe in the Netherlands.

If you are looking for something to do in nature, this is the place for you! Riley Trails includes walking trails and mountain bike trails. There is a small lake!

A little piece of the Netherlands in Holland, MI! A great place for families, the Dutch Village has rides, games, a petting zoo, food, and shopping. You will need to pay admission.

Staying for an extended time? Check out neighboring cities to Holland!

Saugatuck, Grand Haven, and Ferrysburg are some nearby cities you can visit! Saugatuck Dunes State Park is a popular destination. Grand Rapids is also about a 30 minute drive from Holland. In addition, you could check out the Blueberry Festival happening in South Haven from August 12th-15th!
