We’re getting married!!

Our story began on November 11, 2019, at Diamond Hills gym. Marcelas, post-workout, made a stop at the café where Elysia was taking a work break. A chance encounter that eventually led to a friendly and awkward handshake. Little did they know, that seemingly ordinary moment laid the foundation for something extraordinary.

After the previous awkward handshake, Marcelas felt the need for a proper introduction. He worked up the courage, went back to the gym, and asked Elysia on a date while she was on the clock. Our first date was at Concord Plaza, starting with sushi and sake. Marcelas had tickets for the Joker movie, so we headed there after getting to know each other better. With time before the movie, we had a blast at Dave and Busters, discovering our competitive side through games. After the movie, we found ourselves back at Dave and Busters, realizing it was close to midnight. Simple moments, good company, and a night that felt like a whirlwind of fun and connection.

1,390 days after meeting for the very first time, the day had finally come. Marcelas knew from the very first date that Elysia was the one he'd spend his life with, so he finally wanted to let her know that this was a forever deal. They had the weekend off and set off on a trip to Muir Beach to enjoy a bonfire and eat pizza. Once the bonfire was lit, the drinks we drunk, and the pizza was devoured, they went on a small stroll down the beach. Finding a very nice spot to take pictures Elysia set up the phone to take video of them. After posing for the camera a few times, and while Marcelas' heart was pounding louder than the waves, he dropped to his knee and pulled out the ring. Tears fell, a small nod, and the joy was overflowing! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in all in Mexico!
