Wedding Weekend

We recommend that guests arrive to White Plains by the evening of Saturday, September 5th so that you can settle in and enjoy the area before the big day! If you'd like to make this a mini-vacation, we have a 'Things to Do' tab that offers a couple of recommendations!

Flight

LaGuardia (LGA)

NY has tons of airports, but LGA is definitely (in the couple's opinion) the nicest and easiest for domestic flights. There are usually a ton of direct flights from ORD to LGA. Please be mindful that our wedding is Labor Day Weekend, so it is recommended to book earlier for the best rates!

Westchester County Airport

Westchester County Airport (HPN) is 15 minute drive and 40 min bus from White Plains and through Envoy Air (regional carrier for American Airlines) you can fly direct from Chicago ORD! This is a great option if you don't plan to rent a car! The Sonesta White Plains offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from Westchester County Airport (HPN).

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

JFK is another major airport in NY and usually has many flights between Chicago & New York however, it can be less convenient for those planning to spend time in Manhattan before the wedding.

MTA Metro-North: Harlem Line

The MTA is the NY version of the metra! From Manhattan's Grand Central Terminal, you can take the MTA North Harlem Line to White Plains (<1hr). White Plains is a great place to stay since it is about 20 minutes from our venue.

Sonesta White Plains Downtown

For your convenience, we’ve reserved a room block at The Sonesta White Plains, where we’ll also be staying throughout the wedding weekend. While you may book any hotel or Airbnb of your choice, please note that the wedding shuttle will only pick up guests from The Sonesta. Our special group rate is: $209/night for a deluxe king or a deluxe queen (rates are before tax) If at anytime you’d like to cancel your reservation, please do so by 6 PM, Eastern Time, 48 hours in advance of arrival date. If you prefer, you can call 1-800-Sonesta (766-3782) and refer to the Lee and Dela Cruz Wedding Rooms. The cutoff date to make a reservations is 8/6/26! If you have any issues, please let us know so we can help! PLEASE NOTE: After 2 guests, they charge $10 for additional guests so JUST TELL THEM IT’S 2 PEOPLE IN THE ROOM (I’m sure you can sneak the other 1-2 people in) Parking is an additional $12 per day/overnight.

This is another option for a hotel if you prefer a suite & want to share with other people! The rooms range from about $235 to $272 per night and most (if not all) rooms have a bed + sofa bed.
