Yes! Our wedding will follow an unconventional format. For the first hour, we hope to greet our guests over appetizers and some beautiful guitar music. The ceremony component will consist entirely of us exchanging our vows, surrounded by our guests. From there, we'll enjoy dinner and cake! And all of this will take place in the Torpedo Warehouse at Manchester State Park.
The venue does not have electricity, so there will be no places to charge phones on-site other than your own vehicle. The venue also does not allow amplified sound--which means anyone hard of hearing may want to help us ensure you're up close during the vows. The park does have well-maintained restrooms. Parking at Washington State Parks requires a special pass. We are happy to arrange for these, especially with advance notice!
All guests are encouraged to wear the wedding colors, as there is no formal wedding party and we envision all attendees to be the wedding party. The wedding colors are: orange, red, evergreen, and teal.
Please feel free to take your own pictures! We'd love for you to send us your favorites!
Eric took a ferry to meet Elyse (and Myah) in Bremerton. They played a very nerve-wracking game of skipbo, which was followed by a calmer Salvadorian lunch. He wore cords and a cardigan and Elyse wore converse. On our second date, a man referenced Eric as Elyse's husband, and we knew that despite our different views on formality we seem to go together.
