Cruz and Elyse first met in late August 2017 at a dive bar directly between her condo and his apartment in Kirkland, Washington. Elyse was belly up to the bar catching a preseason Seahawks football after a long day of crunching numbers as an Accountant for a large beverage distributor. Cruz on the other hand had a long day because he lost two cats that he was supposed to be cat-sitting so he was ready for a few cold ones. Luckily for Cruz, there was an open seat next to Elyse where he got a beer and proceeded to explain his cat-sitting debacle. Elyse, the proud owner of a diabetic cat, obviously couldn't resist his charm and skills and their lives would never be the same again. After several years of dating Cruz and Elyse moved to Kansas City, Missouri. It was about 5 years to the day they met that Cruz proposed to Elyse next to a small chapel overlook while at Top of the Rock, Missouri and ever since that moment they have been on top of the world.
