Since the legal wedding will be in England and they don't really do Bridal Showers, we need to do it before I leave!! I am excited to share updates and news about the wedding in England.
6:00 pm
We sent in our application for a fiancé visa application on March 29th. These types of visas can take up to 12 weeks to be processed (and hopefully accepted)! Our is still pending.

UPDATE: unfortunately this flight has been canceled. Elyse will be looking for a replacement flight. THIS IS TENTATIVE! We decided to purchase tickets since it was such a good deal, but I cannot leave until I get my visa. Don't worry, the ticket is flexible!

This will be where the ceremony takes place. It is the parish church for where Christian's house is and is one village over. It even has a few bells!
4:00 pm
We will be going to the Old Bridge Hotel for the reception/ "wedding breakfast." We will not actually be having breakfast...I guess that is just what it is called!
6:00 pm
We don't know the details of this yet, but if all goes according to plan, Elyse's parents should be in England for the wedding and leave on October 11th. The Honeymoon will happen after that!
6:00 pm
Yes, you read that correctly- once we are married, we have to apply and wait for a visa....again. We have to switch over the fiancé visa to a family visa. This must be completed within 6 months of Elyse arriving in England and could take up to 8 weeks to be processed. Unfortunately, Elyse cannot leave the UK until she has received her visa. This is why the US wedding date has not been set yet.
6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
It’s official!! We are having a vow renewal ceremony in the US so we celebrate with everyone! This is a backyard wedding, so you may want to ditch the heels- we are not sure how hard the grass will be! But we look forward to seeing your beautiful faces!
