Emma was slangin' brews at Blackfoot River Brewery, when Michael arrived with his new co-workers. Emma, at first, thought Mike was a well-established businessman and was probably either married or engaged. She soon found out he was none of these descriptors, and he was actually an extremely eligible bachelor. Mike, on the other hand, had creepily run into Emma for the first time back when he interviewed at MWA. He tried his best to forget about the girl with the amazing smile he'd seen during his job interview because, come on, he was interviewing for a job, not a date. After moving to Helena, suffice to say, Mike frequented Blackfoot more than any sane person should just so he could see that smile as much as possible. As weeks went by, Emma and Mike's behavior devolved dramatically into that of two highschoolers pretending they didn't know the other had a crush on them. Emma finally caught wind that Mike was interested (thanks Maddie) and was beyond excited. She was notified that Mike had been going into the Blackfoot for the past three days to ask her on a date. She had not been working any of those days. Day four. A Monday. Mike got no work done that day thanks to an overeager mind and the lingering task that awaited him at 4pm. Sauntering, more stumbling, to the upstairs bar at Blackfoot, Mike approached Emma as she asked him for a drink, to which he replied that he'd rather take her on a date instead. They both seemed to the other as cool as cucumbers, when in reality each of them was having a minor freakout. The first date was magical. The second date was on fire. Literally. A kitchen fire. Mike and Emma have been inseparable ever since, with more adventures and stories under their belts than they can count. They both agree they still get butterflies around each other and probably make everyone sick with how "lovey dovey" they have been since day one. Now their next adventure begins.
