“Ever since we first met in high school, we were always drawn to each other. What started as a goofy friendship slowly turned into secret crushes and neither of us realizing the other felt the same. For years we stayed friends, keeping in touch and sharing laughs, until we finally couldn’t ignore the inevitable, we had fallen in love.” -Garrett “When I think back to high school, some of my favorite memories are the little moments Garrett and I shared like our inside jokes, and quick smiles. I even thought about asking him to prom “just as friends” but I never quite got the courage. Our first “date” (though neither of us called it that at the time) was freshman year going to a play together for extra credit. We both weren’t that into plays, 99% sure we were there just to see each other. We never really drifted apart even after high school, we stayed in touch. Texting nearly every day and sending each other memes. Over time, that easy friendship turned into something much deeper. Now here we are, all these years later, about to get married and it feels like the most natural thing in the world.” -Elly
