Andrew and Elly met at a party in the Hollywood Hills. Elly was visiting one of her best friends Taylor Treadwell. The two were quite bored and about to leave the party when Andrew, his friend Lan Nguyen and David Waters burst through the door like a cool-aid man commercial and boosted the mood of the entire party. Andrew was instantly drawn to Elly’s beautiful smile and magnetic personality. The two had plenty to talk about and discussed plans of attending Formula 1 in Mexico City during the upcoming fall.

Andrew and Elly made plans to spend the weekend in Puebla, Mexico; where Elly grew up and her mother currently resides. Andrew prepared a handwritten note translated into Spanish and asked for Elly’s hand in marriage. Elly’s mother Sara approved of Andrew’s proposal and the two headed back to Mexico City. Andrew was supposed to have a flight back to Los Angeles but instead surprised Elly by asking for her hand in marriage in the courtyard of the Four Seasons Hotel in Mexico City. Elly accepted and the two drank carajillos and celebrated the rest of the night.

Elly and Andrew were married on December first in Los Angeles at Red Bird Restaurant during a civil ceremony performed by the couple´s dear friend Lan Nguyen. It was a very intimate affair with only family and a few local friends present.
