It was spring 2019. Elly and Elsa were living in a Suburban skiing and camping all over the west. A colleage from Elly's high school tragically died in an avalanche. Marge promptly signed her up for the nearest, soonest avalanche course which was that coming weekend in Telluride. She sat front row in carhartt overalls and blundstones. Andrew was the lead instructor. The class carried on as Andrew's many previous courses had gone. On the last day, a few students met for beers at Telluride Brewing. Next thing you know, it was just Elly and Andrew left at the brewery. They exchanged numbers. Andrew left for a climbing trip in Spain the next day. Elly carried on her roadtrip. Elly settled in Sun Valley, Idaho working for a reclaimed lumber yard and ranch. The texts between her and Andrew continued. Andrew sought a climbing trip in Idaho and offered to come hang out on his rest days. They went hiking and hit it off. They learned more about Elly's boss and got skeptical. With a carefully planned and swift getaway, they caught their breath at Lefty's (a bar in Ketchum) where "I love you"s were exchanged, and got out of town. They launched into a Montana road trip and Elly followed Andrew back to the San Juans. In the midst of building a house, they planned a trip to Southern California and Baja to visit friends and celebrate Elly's 30th birthday. Little did Elly know, Andrew was planning a little something extra. With the help of our friend, he picked out a turn of the century Navajo turquoise ring. On a horseback ride on a ranch in Baja, he got down on one knee and popped the question. They celebrated with an exquisite dinner that day then a crashed family Thanksgiving dinner with dear friends. Nearly 2 years later, they are excited to celebrate with you as they embark on the next adventure together, marriage.
