We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Nearly five years ago, two strangers met through mutual dating friends, on accident. These friends had someone else in mind to date Emily. Thankfully, that guy backed out, and Tyler tagged in. *Disclaimer - friends shall remain anonymous, they are no longer dating. After a few bad cocktails, and a sly touch to Tyler’s arm, they decided it was a connection worth exploring. They agreed to a date. A week night date was the safest because there was an excuse to end early. Dinner was risky because there’s no easy escape. They settled on a local dive bar (cash only) near Emily’s apartment, and talked the night away -- Tyler about his 6 years working in the real world, Emily about her upcoming finals. The rest, as they say, is history. With a year of dating under their belt, Aerotek decided to move Tyler back to Chicago. Emily stayed in Madison, afraid to leave her sister/roommate. Tyler and Emily traveled the world together, (mostly Chicago to Madison, Madison to Chicago), drank lots of wine, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Emily always had intentions to move to the Windy City, but Tyler knew it would take either a puppy or a diamond to make it happen - so he did both.

After two years dating long distance, he bought a ring, held onto it for a few months just to be sure, and decided to devise a proposal plan. He planned a day out in Madison, remembering all the fun things they did together while living there and ended with a night out at their favorite sushi spot. After a good amount of wine, Tyler decided to pop the question in front of the Capitol with her cousin, Jessica, there to capture it. Now after a few years and many miles, they live together in Chicago with their very high maintenance Goldendoodle named Madison, and are finally tying the knot!
