We recommend you book as soon as you are able as this is a tourist destination and hotels fill fast. There are many hotels and other accommodations available in the area, but we have arranged for room blocks at The Inn at Bay Harbor and the Courtyard Marriott. Please see the Travel & Accommodations tab for more information.
Yes. To travel from any airport to your hotel, a car is required. Once you have reached the Bay Harbor/Petoskey area, we have arranged for shuttles to the Welcome Party and the Ceremony & Reception so you can enjoy the festivities. Please note the shuttles will only pick up and drop off at our Preferred Accommodations.
No. The Inn at Bay Harbor has a personal shuttle for their guests to use. Keep in mind that this shuttle is for all the guests at the Inn and availability may be limited.
It varies - it can be either warm or cool, so please watch the weather and plan accordingly! Additionally, the Welcome Party & Ceremony will take place outside - be sure to bring sunglasses in hopes for sunny weather!
The dress code for the wedding and reception is Semi-Formal attire. Men can wear suits with or without a tie, and women can wear either short or long dresses. Much of the wedding day festivities will take place on grass, so please be mindful of your footwear. Additionally, ladies may want a light sweater for the evening. Military uniforms are welcome and Dress Blue "B", or service equivalent, is most appropriate. If you wear a uniform, covers are not required.
We are requesting that everyone wear Cocktail attire for the Welcome Party, which is being held at a private Yacht Club. No jeans, shorts, sneakers or hats please.
