Question
Is there a dress code?
Answer
Dress to impress! Our wedding is black tie optional. The air will cool off at night so please prepare accordingly. Women should wear floor length dresses. No white! Bridesmaids will be in black. Men should wear formal suits or tuxedos.

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
In order for us to keep our wedding intimate, only the guest formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one, this will appear at the time you RSVP.
Question
What if I didn’t RSVP in time?
Answer
If we do not receive your RSVP by the date provided, it will be automatically recorded as “no”. We will really miss celebrating with you, but must give final counts to vendors within the time frame they have provided us and cannot accept late RSVPs.

Are children invited?
Answer
While we love your kids, this is strictly an adults-only event with exceptions to those in the wedding party and immediate family. We understand that this may be a getaway weekend, so please let us know if you are interested in childcare.

Where should I stay?
Answer
We are highly encouraging all guests to stay in Carmel Valley. All events will take place in Carmel Valley, and because the venue is so unique, individual cars are NOT PERMITTED on site on the wedding day. We will be arranging shuttles for FRIDAY ONLY, and the pickup and drop-off spots will be in Carmel Valley. Staying in the valley is highly encouraged. I’m traveling in from out of state, which airport should I fly into?
Answer
Monterey/Carmel has an airport (code is MRY) that is about 20 minutes from Carmel Valley and is very convenient. Car rental services are also available here. Additionally, the San Jose airport may have better flight options, and that is about 90 minutes away to the north.

Should I rent a car?
Answer
That is up to you, but you will need transportation to the Welcome Party on Thursday evening, and we encourage carpooling with other guests. You may find it helpful to have one to be able to do your own exploring of the beautiful Carmel-Monterey area. Ride-share apps like Uber and Lyft are harder to come by in Carmel Valley so please do not rely on them. Transportation will be provided to/from the Wedding on Friday.

Where and what time are shuttle pick up and drop off?

The shuttle service is for FRIDAY ONLY and will pick up as follows - please note that if you miss the shuttle, you WILL miss the wedding. Hidden Valley Inn: no parking of vehicles of non-guests - 1:30 pickup at Hidden Valley Inn at check-in location for hotel guests. This is a 16 passenger vehicle. NOTE: This bus is reserved for people with mobility issues who may have a more difficult time walking or getting up the hill to catch the 2:00 shuttle. - 2:00 pickup at Hidden Valley Inn curbside 102 W Carmel Valley Rd (up a slight hill) on Carmel Valley Road. This is a 24 passenger vehicle. - 2:00 pickup at Hidden Valley Inn at check-in location for hotel guests. This is a 16 passenger vehicle. Carmel Valley Lodge: off-street parking available nearby (for non-hotel guests or guests staying at Air BNB's or alternate lodging )on Ford Rd and Via Contenta - 2:00 p.m. pickup in front of lodge at 8 Ford Rd, Carmel Valley, CA Shuttles will return to these locations at various times during the evening starting at 8:00 p.m. NOTE: you will drive yourself or carpool to the welcome party on Thursday (Valet service provided). Shuttles are ONLY available on Friday for the wedding. Our lodging recommendations will be in close proximity to the shuttle stop to make it easier, hopefully making it walkable for most. If you choose to stay at an alternate location (Carmel by the Sea, Carmel Valley Ranch, Bernardus, Air BNB, etc) you will be responsible for getting yourself to the shuttle stop at Carmel Valley Lodge on Friday- NO CARS WILL BE PERMITTED AT THE VENUE ON OUR WEDDING DAY. If you miss the shuttle you WILL miss the wedding.
