Patagonia Argentinian Grill & Restaurant (La Patagonia)

Calle San Javier, Villareal, Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica

Amazing steak dinner! A great atmosphere and delicious food. Can't wait to go back!

Pangas Beach Club

Fantastic drinks and appetizers, and right on the beach. Such beautiful trees all around and great service.

El Mercadito de Tamarindo Food and Cocktail Market

Tamarindo, Guanacaste Province 50309, Costa Rica

A fun food court right off of the beach for a fun and delicious bite to eat.

Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve

Carretera a Reserva de Monteverde, Provincia de Puntarenas, Costa Rica

A small town in the mountains surrounded by rainforest. Great spot for watching wildlife with beautiful hikes, including hanging bridges above the forest canopy. Maddie and I had an amazing time here when we went to visit!

Guanacaste Province

Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica

Guanacaste: a province in the northwest of Costa Rica with countless beaches to discover within driving distance of one another. Good spots to visit: Playa Flamingo, Playa Conchal, Playa Tamarindo, Playas del Coco, Las Catalinas, Playa Samara, and Playa Hermosa.

Playa Samara

Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica

We mentioned this one already, but this is one of our favorite places in the world! It's a small, beautiful beach town on the edge of the jungle with amazing people, good food, and stunning beaches.

La Fortuna

La Fortuna, Alajuela Province, Costa Rica

A bustling jungle town known for its close to the Arenal Volcano and lots of adventurous activities. It's a popular destination for ziplining, white water rafting, and hiking, as well as relaxing in natural hot springs heated by the volcano.

Manuel Antonio National Park

Quepos, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica

Manuel Antonio National Park: one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Great for seeing wildlife up close (monkeys will steal your stuff)!

Río Celeste

Río Celeste, Provincia de Alajuela, Costa Rica

Rio Celeste: beautiful spot near La Fortuna where two rivers meet and the water turns bright Cyan.

Tortuguero

Tortuguero, Limón Province, Costa Rica

A small coastal town on the Caribbean side. Great for watching sea turtles lay eggs and for taking kayak tours in the surrounding national park.

Puerto Viejo de Talamanca

Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Limón Province, Costa Rica

A beach town on the Caribbean side. Recommend visiting Refugio Nacional Gandoca-Manzanillo and Parque Nacional Cahuita.
