Our Story

We met in 2022 while coaching at a CrossFit gym. What started as passing each other between classes and chatting about workouts slowly turned into spending all our free time together. At first, I thought Nathan was just really kind. I didn’t realize he was interested in me until he casually mentioned he had an extra ticket to a Thomas Rhett concert. Spoiler: he did not. After I said yes, he scrambled to actually find one. That’s when I realized maybe he wasn’t just being nice. If you ask Nathan, he knew from the first moment he saw me that he was going to marry me. We hadn't even spoken yet, and he went home and confidently told his parents "I met the girl I am going to marry!" We made things official on a beach trip with Nathan’s family. His dad asked if we were dating, and we both froze. Later that day, I told Nathan he actually needed to ask me to be his girlfriend. He did, but then we realized it was my parents’ wedding anniversary, so naturally we postponed to the next day. Not long after, we added Murph to the mix, our sweet, clumsy, chaos-loving Border Collie. I said it was a terrible idea and terrible timing, which Nathan took as a sign to do it immediately. Turns out, he was right. Murph’s been part of everything since: daily walks, road trips, furniture casualties, and now, wedding cocktails. We can't forget Piper, my sweet angel of a cat who converted Nathan from a lifelong “not a cat guy” into the person who tries to convince her to sleep on his side of the bed instead of mine. Together, they make our little family perfectly complete and a little chaotic. We’re different in ways that balance each other out. I’m the planner who loves a checklist; Nathan’s the calm, unshakable one who reminds me it’ll all be fine. He keeps things light, I keep things organized. When we took a trip to Europe early in 2025, Nathan somehow managed to pull off a surprise proposal. I didn’t think it was possible since I’m the one who packs, plans, and notices everything, but he did it! While walking toward a fountain in Edinburgh, where a secret photographer was waiting, I randomly started singing Eminem’s “knees weak, arms heavy.” Nathan swears I was teasing him. I swear it was just a coincidence. Moments later, he got down on one knee and proposed. Neither of us remember exactly what was said, just that it was perfect. Now we're here! Planning our wedding and so excited to celebrate this next chapter with everyone who’s been part of our story.
