Semi-formal / Dressy casual, please. But with that being said, more importantly, we want you to be comfortable.
The reception will be held outside under a tent at the Grooms parents house. Finger foods, dinner, dessert, and drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) will be provided. We look forward to having a night full of dancing, games, and conversing around fires. We plan to have an after party for guests who would like to stay longer after the staged "Send Off", and will provide hot dogs and additional snacks. Again, the reception will be outside under a tent with grass or gravel, so please dress accordingly to the weather and outdoor conditions. If there is to be a lot of rain or bad weather predicted for the wedding weekend, we plan to move the reception inside the barn.
There will be a gap time between the ceremony and reception. We will expect the ceremony to end around 3-3:15 PM. The Bride and Groom will get pictures at the Church with bridal party and close family after the ceremony. Please feel free to hang out at the Church and converse a while before heading over to the reception venue. The drive time from the Church to the reception venue is about 30 minutes. There will be a cocktail hour starting at 4:00 PM, with music, dancing, yard games, finger foods and drinks will be provided, while the Bride and Groom get additional photos done at the house before the reception starts at 5:00 PM.
We will be having Johnson’s BBQ cater our wedding. When you RSVP, there will be meal options with more detail for you to chose from to help us plan accordingly. We will have charcuterie style finger foods during the cocktail hour and throughout the evening as well. If you are vegan, vegetarian, or have food allergies please reach out to us and we will cater to your needs to the best of our ability.
Of course! We love your kids and want this to be a fun night for the WHOLE family to enjoy!
There will not be a shuttle to and from the hotel to the ceremony and reception.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
Please feel free to reach out to the Bride, Groom, or their parents for any additional questions.
