Question
Are The Attic and The Hansen Place one venue, or two?
Answer
The Attic is one venue, and The Hansen Place is another. They're located next to each other and are run by the same person. Our wedding will be at The Hansen Place, which is where the address on our wedding invitations will send you.

Is there wheelchair access?
Answer
Unfortunately no, the venue does not have a wheelchair ramp. The Hansen Place has a back entrance that you can use though, with much easier & fewer stairs. Don't worry, we'll have plenty of people to help you get up the stairs if needed!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
There are two small parking lots attached to the venue that we will be saving for specific people (wedding party, immediate family, guests with limited mobility). There is also a large, public parking lot for the train just across the street, that is free and mostly empty on Saturdays. Is there a dress code?
Answer
Only the wedding party has a dress code. Everyone else is free to wear whatever they like!

Will there be alcohol? How about food?
Answer
For food and drinks, there will be an open pasta buffet, as well as a wine and beer bar available for three hours. We will be handing out 1 free drink ticket to each drinking-age adult to use at the bar, on us! After the first free drink, guests will have to buy their own alcoholic beverages.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
Yes kids are welcome, but before you bring them please keep in mind the following. (1) The venue is on the smaller side, so the bar is in the same room as both the ceremony and the dinner reception. You will need to be able to watch your children at all times. (2) The music chosen to play during the ceremony and reception should be fine, but the playlist for the after-party (starts at 8) will not be child-appropriate. It's up to you if you're okay with your child hearing swear words and other vulgar language.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
Yes you can bring a date, but they must be included in your RSVP so we can add them to the guest list. Only those on the RSVP list will be allowed inside. The venue is not very big, so we can't allow any last minute guests. If you do think of someone else to bring after you've already RSVP'd, please let Jake or Vanessa know.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The wedding schedule includes any information about when to show up. Please click on the tab at the top of the website titled "Schedule" to find out!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Our RSVP cards have a space to write down any food allergies / restrictions. If you already mailed your RSVP card and need to inform us of a new restriction, please let Jake or Vanessa know by December 31st, 2022. Any later than that, and I can't be certain if the buffet menu can be changed anymore.

How will I find pictures / videos of the wedding once it's done?
Answer
That is what the "photos" page on this website is for! It will be empty for a while, but once we get all the pictures and videos back after the wedding, we'll be posting them there.
