Jackie and Mikey's story starts right where you would guess... On a dating app in Seattle, WA, okay so maybe not exactly where you guessed. BUT, the story has a little more background than that. First came the match. We matched in late September of 2017 both heading out of town the following weekend we set up a date for the next week, in early October. With a date set up and plans made for dinner, the truth came out. It turns out we had already known each other (kind of) and just didn't realize it yet. Our Mom's attended Carroll College together and were friends since the college days, including a short stint for both in Seattle WA in the 80’s. Jackie and I quickly realized our families had been exchanging Christmas cards ever since before we were born. As a holiday tradition the Elliott's posted all their cards on the kitchen cabinets for the Christmas season, and the McGree's kept theirs in a basket for everyone in the family to read. For 25 years we had been seeing each other’s face and never met in person, until early October on our set up date. With the dinner and drinks at a local Fremont restaurant planned, we waited anxiously our first in person meeting on a fall Thursday night. Hitting the JACKpot, we had instant chemistry and haven't stopped thinking about each other since that day. The rest of the story, as you know, continues August 15th..
