Sawtooth National Recreation Area
It's definitely worth checking out Stanley, ID, the jumping off point for adventures in the Sawtooth Mountains. Go hang at the beach at Redfish, Stanley, Alturas, or Pettit Lakes! Or take a day hike from numerous trailhead access points into the Sawtooth Mountains. To combine both, take a boat ride across redfish to access a day hike trail head (https://redfishlake.com/marina/).
Hot Springs
Idahoans are rather... protective... of their hot springs. With a little research, determination, and adventure you can be rewarded with a delightfully sulfuric soak in mineral enriched waters!
Fly Fish the Big Wood River
Snagging a quick trout on the Big Wood before the ceremony could make for a great appetizer! Or click the link for guided fishing tours.
Salmon River Whitewater Rafting
Unfortunately, we did not organize a massive group rafting day trip! If you are extending your stay, check out some of the whitewater Idaho is known for!

Days of the Old West Rodeo
This is THE quintessential small town rodeo. This buckin' good time usually runs from Friday-Monday. Tickets sell out, so you'll probably want to get your tickets ahead of time. On the 4th, fireworks usually begin right after the rodeo. To make it a complete day, start at noon in downtown Hailey for the best parade in the west! We'll update the link once information for 2022 is added.
Sun Valley Lodge
Interested in Sun Valley's iconic history? Go to the lodge. You may run into Arnold Schwarzenegger!
Craters of the Moon
Run around some solidified lava fields and pretend you are on the moon! Be sure to check out the lava tube caves. This would be a big detour unless you're driving from the east.
Bruneau Sand Dunes Road
Grab your sandboard and hit the slopes! If it's along your driving route to or from Ketchum, it could be a quick detour! Might be a bit hot. Dress light!
Float or Fish Silver Creek
Follow in Hemingway's footsteps to find his favorite fishing holes on this world class nature reserve!
Horseback Ride
Ketchum and Stanley both offer outfitters for horseback riding!
Mountain Bike
Bring or rent a mountain bike! The Wood River Valley is home to an enormous trail system.
