Please arrive by 4:50! Kansas City traffic can be unpredictable, and we hope to start right at 5, so please plan plenty of time.
As you know, we postponed our original celebration due to COVID-19 with the goal of keeping our guests safe. That goal remains as we hope to celebrate with elderly and high-risk relatives. We continue to monitor the health situation, and will update our website accordingly. At this point, we ask that all guest be vaccinated. If you do hope to hug or be in photos with the bride or groom, we will need you to be vaccinated.
We love your little ones! However, to allow all of our guests, including parents, the chance to have an evening of relaxation, we request that the ceremony and reception be for adults only.
We're excited to be offering a variety of dishes that will be filling and delicious for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy/egg free eaters! If you have another specific allergy concern, please contact us and we'll have our caterer let us know what you can eat!
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Cocktail dresses, suits and ties or a sports coat would all be appropriate. The bride would prefer that you don’t wear a white gown, if you have other options available to you! :)
Due to budget and venue size constraints, we can not accommodate any more people. We are so blessed to have so many friends and family who we want to include. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only, and we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!
We want our family and friends to be fully present at our vow renewal, so we kindly request that the ceremony be phone- and camera-free. We have an amazing photographer, and promise to share her beautiful images with everyone! During the reception, feel free to snap some photos and hashtag them #HappilyEverOlson!
I (Elliot) have always dreamed of a big wedding where we could be surrounded by everyone we love, and we had that planned. Less than a week before, COVID-19 forced us to call off the big party and get married at home instead. I still have a dream of walking down the aisle with my dad, vowing my love to Kenny in front of family and friends, and dancing the night away. Our wedding vendors were kind enough to let us basically "transfer" our wedding to a future date that will be safe. We hope you'll join us!
Kenny and I have been married a while and are so blessed to have a beautiful home and most of the things we need! We really want to see and celebrate with everyone - so your presence is gift enough for us! If you'd like to bring anything, we'd love a signed wedding card for our memory box.
