We have room blocks at EVERGREEN LODGE AT VAIL and GRAND HYATT VAIL. You can view the room block details under the travel section of our website. Airbnb is another option if you would prefer not to stay in a hotel, we recommend looking for Airbnbs in Vail Village to have access to Vail's buses and our ceremony shuttles.
Rent a car - This is our recommendation so you can explore the surrounding area at your leisure. Shuttle from DIA - There are many shuttle services from DIA to Vail. We've used these ones many times: https://www.epicmountainexpress.com/ https://www.mountainshuttle.com/ https://www.summitexpress.com/
No, it is not necessary to rent a car if you don't want to. Both hotel blocks are in the Vail Village area, so you will have access to shops, restaurants, activities without needing a car.
There will be shuttles to transport all guests between the hotels and the venue. Our preference is for guests to take the shuttles as opposed to driving, as the drive is fairly technical. Come enjoy the evening, and leave the transportation to us.
We use the term "black tie optional", very loosely. If you have a tux and want to wear it - great! If you don't, also great! The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside on grass, we recommend against stilettos since they'll get stuck in the ground.
Yes! Everyone who is invited to the wedding is invited to the welcome party.
Yes! Everyone who is invited to the wedding is invited to swing by the casual brunch Sunday morning. It will be at Vail's Mountain Haus from 10am-12pm.
We prefer that this remains an adult only event. If childcare is needed, feel free to look at https://www.care.com/babysitters/vail-co for potential babysitting options in the Vail area.
