We said yes! Join us in the countdown until we say "I do."

Nate and I went to the same high school even though we didn't know one another well back then- he was a senior when I was a freshman. I would sometimes see him around the Cox house when I was hanging out with his sister Alli (who is one of my best friends). My junior year of college for spring break I flew down to see Alli in Long Beach, California. Al just so happened to be living in the same house as Nate during that time. Towards the end of the week was when the world shut down due to COVID. I had to cut my trip short because my mom thought I was going to get stuck in Long Beach. Fast forward a couple weeks and Nate and I were both back in Bend, Oregon during the quarantine period and the rest is history! So long story short- thanks Alli for letting me marry your brother!

In the beginning of August of 2021, Nate and I were on a trip in Bend visiting our families. It was such a special time because almost the whole family on both sides were in town. On the morning of August 4th, Cheryl (Nate's grandma), Kristian (Noah's wife), and Nate and I went on a walk by the river to get out of the house so the cleaners could come- so I thought. About halfway through Cheryl and Kristian decided to turn around. Nate and I kept walking until we got to this gorgeous river spot where Nate popped the question and of course I said YES! Immediately after, I see some of our family members appear out of the bushes with floaties and they just keep on coming. My parents, my aunt and uncle, his parents, Noah, Kristian, a couple of his good friends, Cheryl and Jim, Poops, Alli was on Facetime, and a lot of the little cousins were there too! It was such a magical day and moment. Following the proposal, we all floated the river together and ended the day with an engagement party at the cabin! I couldn't have asked for a better person to share the rest of my life with!
