Our love story begins February 2, 2022 at wedding guest Story Viebranz’s birthday party. Ellie, a close friend, and Marty, close in name to the dog Story thought she was inviting, lock eyes from across the room. Wedding guest Peter Gerson also locks eyes with Marty and Ellie locking eyes, and takes it upon himself to wingman his good friend. Peter regails the couple with tales of his top 5 Pokemon cards and that time he put 13 chicken bites in his mouth at once. Despite Peter’s best efforts, a spark ignites and a first date is set. On the slopes of Tahoe, Ellie and Marty find their footing. Marty quickly falls for Ellie’s charm, quick wit, and break dancing moves. Ellie falls for Marty’s thoughtfulness, sense of humor, and trivia knowledge. Fast forward about two years to a July 4th engagement at Golden Lake, Wisconsin, and plans for a wedding in the Mountain West. Stanley is a very special place to us, and we count down the days until we can find our way back to this Idaho gem. Nestled underneath the Sawtooth Mountains with a year-round population of 117, Stanley’s beauty has to be seen to be believed, and we can’t wait to share in celebration with you here! - Ellie and Marty
