Dear Friends and Family, We can’t wait to celebrate with you! Both of our families are bold, colorful, and fun, and we want to honor all of that with our wedding weekend. We are hosting a weekend at camp - think bonfires, tug of war, and canoe races. It will be a combined Punjabi-Western wedding, with a Haldi, mendhi artists, a Jago, two ceremonies, a killer reception and a farewell breakfast. The wedding is taking place at a summer camp on Conesus Lake, the Western-most of the Finger Lakes, a beautiful region in Central NY. When we sat down to plan our wedding, our biggest priority was to spend time with the most important people in our lives. Thus the camp idea was born - all of our favorite people staying on the same property for 48 hours sounds so magical. That said, it is a children’s camp! Bunk beds will lead to shared memories but perhaps not your best night of sleep :) We have room to sleep ~160 of you so we can maximize our wedding weekend time together, but we also can point you to several hotels nearby if shared bathrooms aren’t your thing. We can provide bedding for 100, but if you're driving, please plan to bring your own. Don’t forget a towel, athletic wear, warm layers, and a swimsuit if you’re as crazy as the bride! Everyone is welcome to hang out at camp with us between events, even if you aren’t staying on the grounds. The nearest airport is Rochester (30 miles north of camp), so cars will be encouraged. We know many of our guests will be driving and many will be flying, so we are hoping to help facilitate shared rides to minimize the number of rental cars needed. More information to come. In terms of what to wear, we have some suggestions! Both Western and Punjabi attire are welcome. See the ‘FAQ’ and ‘Links’ tabs on the website for specific guidance. We are so excited to celebrate with each of you September 18-20, 2026! So much love, Harjap & Ellie
