We're so excited to introduce you to one of our favorite areas of Washington! Port Townsend is a popular summer vacation spot, and for a good reason. You will need to fly into the Seattle-Tacoma airport and then drive ~2 hours to arrive in Port Townsend WA, where the bulk of the wedding events will take place. The actual wedding will take place at a venue 25 minutes south of Port Townsend. We cannot emphasize enough that lodging goes fast in Port Townsend this time of year! Please book early, especially if you are wanting to choose a lodging option outside of the reserved hotel blocks listed below. We realize that travel can be confusing so please don't hesitate to reach out to Bronson or Ellie if you need help working out the details :)

DRIVING/FERRY INFORMATION

There are three driving routes between the Seattle-Tacoma airport and Port Townsend. Two of these involve ferries. Ferries – how fun and Northwest-y! A warning that the ferries are first come first served, and weekend lines can be very long in the summer. For this reason, do NOT take the ferry if you are traveling on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. If you are traveling on any other day, we say go for it! Below are the three separate routes. 1) Drive direct - no ferry. Take this route if you are traveling on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and/or have any time constraints. 2) Take the Bainbridge Island Ferry - expect lines 3) Take the Kingston Ferry - expect lines See below link for a map outlining the three routes described.

For Small town charm: Monarch Hotel

A quirky restored victorian hotel right by the water. Some rooms accommodate up to 6 people – great for those of you interested in sharing rooms. Rooms range $150-280/night. To reserve, call the front desk and tell them you are with the Barber/Shonk wedding party.

For water views: The Tides Inn & Suites

Economy hotel a little further out of town but on the water. Rooms accommodate 2-4 people and you have the choice between a basic room or suite. Rooms range $180-$440/night. To reserve, call the front desk and tell them you are with the Barber/Shonk wedding party.

On A Budget: Port Townsend Inn

This is your cheapest option of the three hotels. Rooms range $140-$240/night. Pet friendly. We do not have a block reserved here so just call and make your reservation. Also a good option if you procrastinated on reserving lodging :)

House Or Rental

AirBnb or VRBO

There are a handful of AirBnbs and VRBOs around Port Townsend. Again, THESE GO FAST and will likely be completely booked come springtime, so if you want to go this route book your lodging as soon as possible. We recommend staying close to Port Townsend, as that's where the majority of the events will be taking place and where the wedding shuttle will be picking up and dropping off.
