How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The wedding venue is located at 7645 Bobcat Lane, Maple Falls, WA 98266. IMPORTANT: If using a maps app, we advise you to use Google Maps, as we have found that Apple Maps can lead to the wrong location. Double-check that you have selected the correct address in Maple Falls, WA. Driving instructions: From Bellingham, take 542 East (Mt. Baker Highway) until you reach Silver Lake Road in Maple Falls, WA. Take a left down Silver Lake Rd at the Crossroads Grocery & Video and the Shell Station. Follow Silver Lake Rd about 2.5 miles until you reach Bobcat Lane on the right. Take a right down this gravel road until you see the Welcome Wedding Sign and you've arrived! COVID-19 Consideration

Answer

We understand that health and safety are the most important considerations at this time. With the uncertainty of travel restrictions, and as we each navigate our own health we recognize the hesitation to attend events and return to celebrations. For those who decide to join us, we will ensure the safety of our guests by: 1. Preparing the ceremony and wedding events to be outdoors and open-air whenever possible 2. Encourage distancing and sanitization whenever possible 3. Recommend that all guests are courteous to avoid over-exposure in the weeks leading up to the wedding 4. We kindly ask that any guest who has been feeling under the weather stay home and not attend For those who are unable to attend or are still unsure about travel during this time, we understand and fully respect your decision. And most importantly, we look forward to celebrating with you very soon! (p.s. we also hope that by late May 2021, the world will be in a much safer, relaxed place!)

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will begin with an outdoor ceremony on the lawn and will be followed by an open-air tented reception. There will be options for indoor and outdoor restrooms.

Will there be a late-night shuttle service?

Answer

Yes. There will be a shuttle service running from 9PM to 12AM the night of the wedding. The service will pick up guests from the venue entrance and transport guests to any location in Maple Falls, Glacier, Kendall or other nearby locations, however not Bellingham. There is no sign up form, the shuttle will run consistently throughout the 3 hour window.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies are encouraged to wear dresses, and the gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit and tie, or a formal sports coat. The evening will get chilly, so we recommend bringing a coat or jacket as well for your own comfort. Note that the wedding ceremony and reception will be held on the grass, so please plan footwear accordingly.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

An open bar of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the evening. Full dinner service will be provided at the wedding reception which will follow the ceremony. The dinner will be full of BBQ selections, along with several vegetarian sides.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to COVID, we are trying to keep our event to a more intimate gathering. To keep you and our family and friends safe, we ask that you please do not bring any additional guests with you beyond what is stated on your formal invitation or RSVP form.

Where should guests park?

Answer

Parking is available for free onsite at the wedding venue. When you arrive, someone will direct you to a parking space. For those who are staying nearby, we encourage carpooling from your rental home or Airbnb.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, both the ceremony and reception locations are wheelchair accessible and on the ground floor with easy entrances. Several sections of the wedding venue are grass or gravel which may require some guidance. We will be available to help whenever needed.
