Where It All Began

Dean: We first met on September 29, 2015. At the time, Ellie was the receptionist for my new job in West Hollywood and the first person to greet me. She distinctly remembers my "piercing blue eyes," as she says, and bright smile. I remember her sweet nature, warm spirit, and beautiful figure. Ellie: We started out as friends going to after work happy hours. Over time I began to develop feelings for Dean and would drop little hints here and there but he wasn’t catching on so on 4th of July weekend of 2016 I decided it was time that I made my interests known. I drove over an hour to meet up with Dean and some co-workers at the bar, Prince O' Whales, in Playa Del Rey for a birthday party. After 30 mins though, I had to leave because I had another commitment. My leaving left Dean wishing I would have stayed and made him realize that I had come all that way just to see him. ;) Dean: It was a couple of weeks later on July 18, 2016 that we had our first date at a place called Bar 10. Just before our date, I had given Ellie a riddle to solve: "It's the name of a band. It melts in your hand. And it uses small muscles." Over drinks and dinner, she brought up the riddle and asked, "Aren't you going to ask if I figured out your riddle?" When I did, she very wittingly pulled out a single Hersey's kiss and handed it to me with a big grin on her face followed by, "So did I get it?" Ellie: Dean couldn't help but laugh because although that wasn't exactly what he had meant, I did in fact get it right. During our first kiss (the real answer to the riddle! Which I absolutely knew ;) ) a woman came up to us yelling, "Hey, you got any money?!" Instinctively Dean turned to her and said, "Hey Lady, you just interrupted our first kiss. I could marry this girl some day"...and as fate would have it, this relationship has grown tremendously and on January 18, 2020 he will "marry this girl!" Dean: A true blessing only God could have bestowed on us. (Thanks for reading our story!)
