Join us for a casual kickoff to the wedding weekend at the Tiki Hut — a laid-back beachfront bar known for live music, frozen drinks, and toes-in-the-sand vibes. It’s the perfect spot to grab a cocktail, listen to some tunes, and mingle with friends and family as everyone arrives on the island. No formal plans —just drop in whenever you arrive. We can’t wait to start celebrating together!

Dressy Casual: Coastal and polished — think sundresses, jumpsuits, dress pants, button-downs, and comfortable heels or nice shoes.
The Welcome Party will take place inside Sea Pines, so guests staying outside of Sea Pines will need a guest pass (provided by venue). If entering Sea Pines, please tell the gate attendant that you are attending the Nixon-Brooks Welcome Party at the Harbour Town Yacht Club and they will direct you.
5:00 pm - 11:00 pm
This event is Garden Formal: suits and long dresses encouraged; ties optional. The bridesmaids will be in shades of powder blue. The wedding events will be outdoors, so prepare for inclement weather and wear comfy shoes (block heels, wedges, or dressy flats are great choices)!
Our wedding venue is accessible only by boat, so we’ve arranged ferry transportation for all guests. The ferry will depart from Harbour Town, located inside Sea Pines, at 5:00 PM. This is the only ferry to the event so don't miss it! For additional ferry details, please visit the Travel page on our website. If you are staying outside of Sea Pines, you’ll need to purchase a guest pass ($10) to get to Harbour Town (unless you are traveling by Uber, in which case they will have a pass). Please indicate where you’ll be staying when you RSVP, and we’ll share any additional pass details on the FAQ page closer to the event.

Totally casual — come as you are for coffee and some light bites. Comfortable clothes, sneakers, sandals, or anything you feel good in. No fuss, just good vibes and good company.
Parking directly at the house is limited! Carpooling is encouraged. If you're willing to walk a short distance, there is ample "overflow" parking that will be clearly marked about a quarter mile from the house (and it's a beautiful walk!) Otherwise, we'll have some golf carts to help bring people to and from their cars.
