Travel Note
!!! AVOID the Metropolis Garage (495 N Liberty St) directly across from the Cardinal Kimpton entrance. Private garage that is often locked during certain hours so your car may get stuck if you park there. optional valet parking at the hotel. Recommended garage: #1) 4th-Church Street Parking Garage Address: 455 N Church St Price: typically free on weekends/after 5pm, and even on weeknights. We've never paid the times we've parked here and the gate is often up. Max $10/day if payment is collected. Would park in any unmarked space, avoid any floors that are reserved for Reynolds Employees. On the lower floors - ok to park in spaces “reserved for Bailey Park guests” as this is the shopping center with restaurants, bars, etc behind the garage. Located directly behind the hotel. There is a small uphill walk from the garage to the hotel entrance. Would recommend dropping off luggage, or if there is anyone that may have difficulty walking up the small incline, dropping them at the hotel entrance before parking. Incendiary Brewing (welcome event) is located directly behind this garage - recommended parking for both events. (Kimpton accessibility at the Church street entrance is the 3rd floor of the garage - Incendiary accessibility at the Chestnut street entrance and is on the ground floor of the garage) #2) Main Street parking garage Address: 296 N Main St (next to Kimpton) Price: up to $16/day max - credit/debit only The GPS address/entrance off main street is "private parking only". Public parking is at the BACK entrance of garage (take a right on 3rd Street, right on Church and enter there). Welcome Event Parking: The 4th-Church street garage above is located between Incendiary and Kimpton. Incendiary Brewing also has some street parking and handicap accessible spaces if you wish to park closer - this is located on the Patterson Avenue side. Incendiary address: 486 N Patterson Ave #105

Flight
Winston-Salem unfortunately does not have its own airport - we would recommend the following two options if you must fly into town for the wedding: 1) Fly into Greensboro, NC (GSO) airport. This is about 20-25 minutes from the venue. You can either Uber ($25-35) to the hotel or rent a car. Personally, we do prefer to fly in/out of the Greensboro airport as the airport is quite small and easily accessible, security lines are usually short/non-existent and just overall have always had a pleasant experience when flying out of GSO (compared to a larger airport like Charlotte or Raleigh). 2) Fly into Charlotte, NC (CLT) or Raleigh (RDU) airports. Both are about 1.5 hours from the venue, depending on traffic. The best option would likely be to rent a car to get to Winston Salem as an Uber may be difficult to commandeer for that distance.

Anywhere in the immediate downtown area, south or west of downtown should be safe and provide a nice place to stay. The West End, Ardmore, Old Salem, and Miller areas are all nice historic parts of town. There’s also a number of hotels near the mall drag off Hanes Mall Blvd/Stratford if you’re looking for somewhere a bit further from downtown.
