We have been informed that there will be a concert at Mcmenamins Edgefield the same night of our wedding. This means that there will be increased traffic and tight parking. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony. If you arrive quite early, there is plenty to see and drink on the grounds at the venue.
While we are believers in "the more the merrier," due to accommodation restraints, we request that only those that the invitation is addressed to RSVP to the event.
The dress code for the event will be cocktail attire, whatever this means for you. Keep in mind it may be quite warm out. While it is normally faux pas to wear white at a wedding, for ours we request that you do not wear black.
We love your little ones, but due to the nature of a wedding and party, we have decided to ask that children are not invited. As stated above, only the individuals addressed on the invitation are accounted for in our guest list.
McMenamins Edgefield is a beautiful, historic venue with plenty to see. There are several restaurants, bars, a golf course, spa, soaking pool, and movie theater. There is also a hotel on the property, if you would like to book here, contact us. The property is no-smoking, no pets, and other people will be present on the property including restaurant/bar patrons and other events. Dinner will be provided, and drinks will be available for purchase. It is important to us that our guests make it home safely, so please arrange a designated driver for your group, or use an Uber at the end of the night. There is a lot to do in the surrounding are. The venue is situated just outside Portland, at the beginning of the scenic Columbia River gorge. There are lots of hikes and even waterfalls to see just a short drive away.
