The RSVP box is already open! We will be sending the invite sooner than with traditional and domestic weddings, but please RSVP online as soon as you know your answer. Importantly, we ask those that already know (or have a strong inkling that you cannot attend), to RSVP “no” or talk to us.
Your passport: Please check that your passport won’t expire before March 2027 - you need 6 months of validity to travel internationally. If you need to update your passport, we recommend doing that ASAP as it can take some time to get your new copy. The European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) will be not be going into effect until Q4 2026. This is essentially a $7 visa required for US tourists. We will ensure to update the website and send out a text blast if the ETIAS comes into play.
We recommend that you arrive in Italy the weekend before our wedding and spend some time in Florence or a neighboring city. This way you can spend time in a historic city and adjust to the time zone before heading to our welcome party on Monday, September 7th.
Welcome Party: Summer Cocktail | Button-down shirts, blazer optional; dresses, jumpsuit, or elevated separates. Please note: Florence's historical city has cobblestone roads - For the ladies I recommend a block heel. Wedding Day: Formal Attire | Suits and ties; long dresses or elevated evening wear. Dress to impress and have fun with it - think color, personality, and elevated vacation style. You’ll be in Italy, on a vineyard, after all. Heels are welcome, as the venue is manicured and heel-friendly. For inspiration, explore our Pinterest board: https://pin.it/7jVoFP2mA
We have built a quick Google Map pinned with our recommendations. As always, please reach out if you have any questions or want to chat about your vibe! https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=17yFOudO0iAisStRAOBurEbmPALndv3k&usp=sharing
Day of the wedding we will have shuttles from Florence Historic Center to and from the venue, but if you rather a private ride there are options! Since picking our wedding venue, Uber Black and Uber Van have come to Tuscany! However, it is not the most affordable option and we do not know how reliable it is at night. There are taxi services available as well. If you enjoy the freedom to move around on your own, we definitely recommend renting a car! All the major rental car companies operate in Italy and there’s rarely any traffic outside of the historic city centers. A couple of friendly reminders: - Some rental companies may require an International Driving Permit (IDP) - You can easily apply for one through AAA: https://www.aaa.com/vacation/idpf.html - Automatic cars are less common in Italy, as most vehicles are manual—so if that's your preference, be sure to reserve an automatic in advance.
