Question

Where do I find hotel block/accommodations?

Answer

We have decided that due to the limited hotel options in Stillwater, that rather than blocking a specific number of hotel accommodations for our guests, we will instead be suggesting 3 hotels for guests to make their own arrangements. The list of hotels that are near our ceremony and reception venues is listed in the Hotel Accommodations section.

Question

Will there be transportation/shuttles to the reception?

Answer

No. The ceremony is downtown Stillwater and the reception is at Liftbridge Brewery. The reception location is up the hill, just off of highway-36. We encourage guests to carpool or Uber from their hotel arrangements, to limit the amount of cars at the reception. There is limited parking, but our hope is that those traveling will be able to leave their cars at their hotel locations to minimize travel. There will be ample time to relocate to our reception venue, as we will have an hour between the ceremony and official start time for dinner.

Where can we park for the Ceremony?

Answer

The Stillwater Library has ample parking spaces for guests attending our ceremony. There are two entrances to the upstairs portion of the Library. This is where our ceremony will take place. The front entrance to the library is for those who are planning to walk from downtown hotels or who do not need parking options. The second is the downstairs entrance located near the parking ramp. Guests of the ceremony are encouraged to park in this ramp. If ramp parking is unavailable guests can plan to park at the public ramp on 3rd Street. This ramp is also an overnight parking option, for those who are planning to leave their cars.

Is the wedding ceremony outdoor or indoor?

Answer

Our ceremony at the Library will be outdoors if wedding permits. If the weather is inclement - it will be moved to the indoor banquet room of the Library. We remind guests that Minnesota weather in September can be unpredictable and to dress consciously.

Question

What is the plan for guests between ceremony and reception?

Answer

Immediately following our ceremony we ask that our family members and wedding party gather in the back front portion of the library to gather for pictures. All other guests are invited to make their way to Liftbridge Brewery for a cocktail hour prior to dinner and dance.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We invite guests to arrive by 3:45 at the latest. The Library will be open for guests starting at 3:00pm.
