Wedding Party

Angie Wilson

Maid of Honor

Angie and Ellen have been friends since preschool at Holy Name. Angie is an amazing person who always looks out for her friends. She loves to bring people together and make others happy. Angie currently works at OSF, where Ellen works too. Ellen and Derick are so grateful to have such a loving, kind friend.

Jaden Gravelle

Groomsman

Jaden and Derick went to Webster Elementary School together. That’s where they became friends over burping contests and playing football at recess. We’ve been blessed to watch their friendship grow as Jaden and Angie started dating and became a couple. Jaden and Angie are always down to go out with us, especially when it’s dollar wing night at the Country Club. Jaden is an amazing guy and we are very fortunate to call him our friend. Thank you Birdo for being there for us.

Patty Salmi

Bridesmaid

Patty is Ellen’s cousin and one of her longest friends. As kids, they spent the summers together riding bikes and getting into as much mischief as possible. Patty is funny, kind, and has a huge heart. She is a beautiful person inside and out. Patty is currently in college to become a teacher, and we know she will inspire others for years to come!

Megan Robinson

Bridesmaid

Megan is one of the sweetest souls on the planet. She is always down to hang out, relax, and have a good time. Megan is currently in college to become a teacher, and she’ll be one of the best ones in the world. She is patient, kind, and already an excellent dog mom to Whiskey, the cutest husky mix.

Drew Rodman

Groomsman

Drew is an excellent friend and a great dog dad. He and Ellen met at Holy Name, and the group stayed close together. He and Megan make an excellent couple and are always fun to be around. Derick and Drew both enjoy Michigan football, golf, and anything sport related.

Makenna Pepin

Bridesmaid

Makenna Pepin is an amazing person who spreads love everywhere she goes. She and Ellen met at Holy Name and have been friends since. Makenna currently is a beautician who spreads beauty and joy to everyone who stops at the salon. She is a dog mom and also an avid Diet Coke lover. Makenna has a contagious laugh that can't help but make you smile. She can make something as simple as getting coffee a fun experience. Ellen and Derick are so happy to have such a bubbly, fun person in their lives.

Ethan Silverstone

Best Man

Ethan and Derick are close friends who became even closer during high school football. As a center and quarterback, they spent lots of time together. Ethan is currently engaged to Allie, and we cannot wait to attend a wedding of their own. We are blessed to have such a hard-working and kind friend.

Allie Cooper

Bridesmaid

Allie and Ellen met at Holy Name. Being such a small school, they quickly became close friends along with the rest of the girls in their class. Allie is engaged to Ethan, and Derick and Ellen could not be more excited to attend their wedding. We are so lucky to have Allie in our lives. She is hardworking, funny, and always available to listen to Ellen's three AM rants.

Bob Wils

Groomsman

Bob is Ellen's brother, and just about the best brother Ellen could ask for. He and Derick enjoy fishing together, even when it is freezing cold. Bob is funny, hardworking, and not a morning person. He is a great dog dad to Cow, his little beagle. Bob is engaged to Katelyn, and we can't wait to attend their wedding. Derick is very excited to have a new big brother.

Alex Stryker

Groomsman

Derick and Alex became friends fast in college. They were roommates along with their good friend Lucas. They always liked to play video games and participate in on campus activities, where Alex learned that Derick was in fact a basketball prodigy. Even now, Derick and Alex still talk and play video games even though they live 6-7 hours apart. Derick is very grateful to have a good friend to help get him through college from having a crappy Resident’s Assistant to Alex getting mad at Derick for beating him 2k… maybe it was the other way around…
